Give it a name
I heard about a sci-fi book where the people would defeat evil or something by know its true name.
Before I was diagnosed with I had two categories for my mental problems: 'Crazy depressed' and 'crazy not depressed.'

American Import Assumptions
There was this assumption that a friendly interaction between two humans in this context could be nothing but creepy. There was this assumption that was imposing himself on this woman. I was there. He was not creepy. He asked nothing of her. They just liked each other.
Taking the Blue Pill
In the early 2010s, curiosity led me down an unexpected path as I found myself drawn into Pick-Up Artistry culture, which eventually evolved into Incel (involuntary celibate) and Men's Rights Activism culture (Red Pill culture is a term that combines these).

Baby booked a table at Loretta on Cuba Street. We hadn’t been out in a long time so I wore a pretty dress that the waitress even commented on as we came in. Baby had booked for a late dinner at 8:30pm because I had to work late. The website says they’re open late. They were open but they were’t happy about it.
The place was almost empty. I said to the waitress “Are you closing soon?” I said to Baby “Are you sure you booked it right?”
The waitress took our order and as we waited the rest of the patrons left the restaurant and the staff started to pack up. They wiped the tables down, polished glasses and made lots of banging noises. By the time our mains arrived they were ready to leave...

Agile for Life: Tip
Tree's debut self-help book excerpt
Have two (and only two) hobbies going at the same time. This way, if you grtr frustrated with one, you can just switch to the other. It also means you don't have too much going on at once so you can make good progress.
Make sure to set some goals for your hobbies – even if the goal is "I'm going to spend one hour a week playing with this thing."
Complacency XXV
She dines with snakes ignoring the tower burning behind her. Symbols of betrayal and sadnes, black dahlias decorate the table. In her hand is a baby snake and soon it will grow. In her hand is a sword which she holds casually. She is willingly ignorant of the harm it causes by her hand. The Dharma wheel represents her path to ethics if she chooses.
Abundance XXIV
Garland on her head, she holds gifts from the earth. She has worked hard with the soil to help them grow. The morning shines bright behind her for a glorious day. Her community lives together behind her by the forest trees which she studies and explores. The moon beams down with her femergy. Capricorn guides her from the heavens.
Love Boundless XXIII
The masculine energy of the sun shines behind his head. Waves of music dance around him. Cups overflow with love never ending. He wears a heroic cape though he is humble and quiet in his strength.
The Pantologist XXII
He is a man of the both the earth and the abstract. He has an affinity to the sea and the stars. He wears a black cloak representing his ties with a darker world. His halo represents the digital and the ideas manifested through it.

Science [handshake] poetry
What is a poet
My answer to people optimistically asserting that mentally ill people are more creative
“What is a poet? An unhappy man who hides deep anguish in his heart, but whose lips are so formed
that when
the sigh and cry pass through them, it sounds like lovely music.... And people flock around the poet
and say:
'Sing again soon' - that is, 'May new sufferings torment your soul but your lips be fashioned as
before, for
the cry would only frighten us, but the music, that is blissful.”
― Soren Kierkegaard, Either/Or
Heart break
Hey bb. I think we've kind of gone separate ways in a lot of ways and there are some important things, to me, that we don't see eye to eye on. I think it would be best if you don't come to the party. We can maybe celebrate another time, another day.
